கூரைப்புடவை

மாயவரத்திற்கு அருகில் கொறை நாடு என்ற ஊரில்தான் முகூர்த்தப் புடவை செய்வது வழக்கம். கொறை நாடு புடவை என்பதைக் கூரப்புடவை என்கிறோம். நூலில் சிவப்புக் கட்டம் போட்டு அழகாக நெய்வார்கள். உண்மையான கூரப்புடவை என்றால் நூல் புடவை என்று அர்த்தம். நாம் தற்போது பணவசதியால் பெருமைக்கு ஆசைப்பட்டுப் பட்டு ஜரிகையை, ஆயிரக்கணக்கில் செலவு செய்து பாவத்தைத் தேடிக்கொள்கிறோம்.

Generally, marriage sarees were prepared at a place called Koranadu near Mayuram. Koranadu Saree is subsequently changed into “Koora Pudavi” in spoken language.  This saree is waived beautifully with thread with red squares.  Koorai Saree should be made of normal thread only. Now-a-days, because of having more money and to be proud, people are spending thousands of rupees just to add sin to their credit

மேலே சொன்ன 10 விஷயங்களை கூறிவிட்டு,(1966 இல் ) பரமாச்சார்யாள் இட்ட உத்தரவு:

“என் நிபந்தனைகளுக்கு உட்படாமல் செய்யப்படும் விவாஹப் பத்திரிகைகளில் என் பெயரைப் போடுவது தவிர்க்கப்பட வேண்டும்”.
