பட்டு (Silk )

விவாஹம் செய்யும்போது பாவம் சேரக் கூடாது. ஆயிரக்கணக்கான பூச்சிகளைக் கொன்று பட்டு இழை எடுக்கிறார்கள். ஆகையால் பாவம் சேர்ந்த இந்த பட்டுப் புடவையைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டால் விவாஹம் பாவத்திற்கு உட்படுகிறது. தம்பதிகள் க்ஷேமத்திற்கு உதந்ததல்ல இதற்காகத்தான் பரமாச்சார்யாள் இதைத் தவிர்க்க வேண்டும் என்கிறார்கள். அஹிம்ஸா பட்டு உடுக்கலாம்.

Silk Cloth

As marriage is holy & during marriage we should avoid doing any sin.  By killing thousands of silk worm, silk thread is taken out to make silk cloth.  If one uses this kind of silk clothe during marriage, it leads to commit sin.  This is not good for newly married couple.  That is why Paramacharya asks everyone to avoid wearing Silk cloth.
