காசியாத்திரை

முன் காலத்தில் பிரம்மச்சாரிகள் காசிக்குப் படிக்கச் செல்வார்கள். வழியில் பெண் வீட்டார். தங்கள் பெண்ணை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு கிரஹஸ்தாஸ்ரமம் நடத்தச் சொல்வார்கள். சரி என்று பையனும் சம்மதித்துத் திரும்புகிறான். இதுதான் தற்போது நடக்கிறது. ஆனால் முதல் நாளே நிச்சயதார்த்தம் செய்து லக்னப் பத்திரிகை படித்து ஏற்பாடாகிறது. பிறகு காசிக்குப் போவது முரண்பாடான ஏற்பாடு. தவிர்க்க வேண்டும் (நம்பிக்கை மோசடி என்றுகூடச் சொல்லலாம்)

In the earlier days, Bhramacharies will go to Kashi for education. On their way, there were possibilities that parent of a bride may ask him to marry their daughter and to start “Grahastasram”. The may accept this and will come back for marriage.  But today, even after confirming the “Official” engagement on the prior day of marriage, the custom of asking the bridegroom to go far a Kasi yatra and asking bride’s father to request the groom to come back seems illogic.  Can be avoided
